Engineering education for children with Klarna.

In a recently published statement, Klarna, a global leader in financial technology, shared its ongoing commitment to promote the next generation of tech talents through a collaborative initiative with Kodcentrum - a non-profit association.

In Klarna's global workforce, engineering roles play a crucial role, constituting over a third of their skilled professionals. The decisions made by their engineers are not only critical for the company but are also vital for creating, maintaining, and evolving the Klarna experience. Recognizing this significance, Klarna places great emphasis on enabling its highly talented engineering team to act as catalysts and inspire the next generation of tech innovators.

With an awareness of the importance of nurturing talent and inspiring the next generation of engineers, Klarna has partnered with Kodcentrum - a non-profit association. Together, they have initiated a transformational initiative, offering children from underprivileged areas a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of engineering through a hands-on coding course held at Klarna's headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. This collaborative effort spans four weeks of weekly sessions focusing on fundamental programming principles, all professionally led by prominent engineers at Klarna. In addition to imparting technical skills and expertise, Klarna's brilliant engineers aim to ignite a spark of curiosity and passion for technology in young minds through the course.

"Klarna's partnership with Kodcentrum is not only an investment in our efforts to enhance digital competence among children and youth—it is also an investment in the future," said Kristina Bjerka, Secretary-General of Kodcentrum.

"By learning programming and digital technology today, these young individuals will be prepared to face the challenges that our rapidly changing world will present tomorrow. Klarna's contribution provides Kodcentrum with the opportunity to reach even more young people and help them develop a critical ability to understand and use technology in a way that benefits society as a whole."
